Summer Camp Positions - General Application

This posting is intended for candidates interested in future opportunities with Camp Tournesol. While some locations or positions may currently be fully staffed, applications submitted here may be considered as openings become available throughout the hiring season.

Camp Tournesol is seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and engaging individuals to help create a fun, safe, and educational environment for campers. Opportunities may include positions such as Camp Leader, Program Coordinator and Summer Camp Counsellor.

Responsibilities may include

  • Supervising and engaging campers throughout the camp day

  • Supporting camper well-being, inclusion, and positive behaviour

  • Assisting with the delivery of hands-on programming and activities

  • Leading games, workshops, and group activities

  • Supporting drop-off, pick-up, and daily camp operations

  • Working collaboratively with fellow staff and leadership teams

  • Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all campers

  • Following Camp Tournesol policies and procedures

  • Carrying out other reasonable duties as assigned

Successful candidates should possess

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities

  • Enthusiasm for working with children and youth

  • Adaptability, initiative, and professionalism

  • Experience working with children is considered an asset

Requirements

Candidates applying for positions with Camp Tournesol must:

  • Be able to commute to their assigned camp location

  • Hold a valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification from a recognized provider, or be willing to obtain this certification prior to your start date

  • Obtain a Vulnerable Sector Police Check issued within the required timeframe

Some positions may be funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. To be eligible for these roles, applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons.
